Every month, we at Statum award an employee at a scale-up company as ‘Scale-up Hero of the Month’. This month we have chosen an employee who has made an extraordinary contribution to the growth and company DNA over the last couple of months at Likvido: Jannick Christensen

Maximilian Frimmer, Co-founder and CEO at Likvido, has the following reason for the nomination of Jannick Christensen:

We would like to nominate our sales team lead Jannick Christensen as Scale-up Hero of The Month! Jannick has played a major role in designing and executing our sales strategy since he joined Likvido as one of the first employees. As a young company, it is extremely important to have colleagues as Jannick who takes ownership and plays a major role in creating the foundation for a successful company.”.

 

I had a talk with Jannick to get to know him and his job at Likvido: 

Tell me a little about yourself, Jannick.

My name is Jannick Christensen, and I’m working as a Client Sales Manager at Likvido. I’m also the cofounder of the online laundry and dry cleaning company Washa, and have therefore been working with startups for the past 6 years.

 

Cool! What do you work with at Likvido?

My main responsibility is to onboard new clients who has chosen to use our service. We have 8 meeting planners  and 4 Key Account Managers, and their main goal is to increase Likvido’s customer base.

Our service helps our customers with cash flow, bookkeeping and debt collection which is a very sensitive but essential part of their business. It is therefore very important that everything is transparent and easy to understand. And most of all meet our customers expectations.

 

Sounds interesting! What is the best part of your job?

I love working with startups and see things grow! It’s satisfying to see how a startup adapts and evolves as goals are reached. Being a part of a startup and creating a culture where we always strive to do our best while having fun is really the best thing about my job. That’s one of the reasons I wake up in the morning and go to work.

 

I can hear from Maximilian that you really make a difference at Likvido. What’s your ‘secret sauce’?

I would say that I have a flair for increasing sales with limited resources. Which is very important when you work in a startup.

I have been working with different types of sales for almost 10 years! And I have been a part of a massive growth journey with Washa. This has strengthened my skills and given me a understanding of how I can help my colleagues to perform better and become a better version of themselves.

 

Why did you choose to be a part of a scale-up like Likvido in the first place?

I love to work in a flat organisation, where good ideas are being brought to life. Everyday looks different, and as mentioned I love being a part of a Scale-up’s growth journey, and making an impact.

Seeing the hard work that you put in is often easier to see in a scale-up than a big established company. And that gives me a bigger satisfaction at the end of the day.

 

What’s keeping you happy at Likvido?

I really appreciate the recognition and that the founders of Likvido acknowledges the hard work I have put in the company. I’m really grateful – and it really motivates me to work harder and perform even better.

How do you feel about these reasons?

I’m very proud and humbled by this acknowledgment. I see it as a privilege to work with passionate people, and still be able to make an impact.

I will now go back to work and continue to pursue our goal. Which is to make Likvido the biggest fintech company in Europe.

 

Finally, what is your best advice for making a difference in a growth company?

Be patient! Stay hungry and reach for the stars. You need to dream big to make a difference, and it doesn’t matter if you fail. Just try again!
